Buy Blue and Buy Green

I was so happy to see the blog Buy Blue featuring Clif Bar this morning, a company they label "apolitical" by their standards of measuring political party donations, but that's still demonstrating progressive values by its environmental and socially responsible activities. I enjoy reading Buy Blue, and certainly understand their criteria given that they were born out last year's election, but I left them a comment encouraging them to feature more "green" companies. I honestly believe that sustainable, socially responsible business practices are not only much more challenging for companies to implement (if for no other reason than the change in mindset that's required), but that they also show more of a commitment to progressive values than political party donations (which are often made to both major parties, even if when weighted more towards one). If you believe the same way, let 'em know...
