Wind Power Going Urban?

From the UK Times, news of a Scottish innovation in wind power: the roof-top wind turbine.
The generators, about the size of a television satellite dish, are expected to become a common urban sight. They will cut electricity bills and also help the [Scottish] executive to meet its ambitious renewable energy target...

Each turbine has five rotor blades encased in an outer rim and sits just above the house, producing up to 1.5kw of power.
I find this exciting because it brings the possibility of bringing wind power to the cities. Clearly, this isn't a single fix since these generators can't power a home completely on their own, but it does demonstrate the progress that can be made with a little innovation. Of course, I'm open to hearing what the wind power critics have to say.... Eric, are you out there...?
