Coal vs. Wind Power: You be the Judge

An interesting multimedia presentation from the Union of Concerned Scientists puts this conflict in the proper context regarding the costs of coal-fired power plants. I know I've seen an awful lot of television ads from a group called Americans for Balanced Energy Choices singing the praises of coal, but of course, this group is sponsored by "America’s coal-based electricity industry" (their words). Of course, they neglect to mention the polluting effects of coal even after the introduction of "clean coal technology." Is it just me, or does that phrase sound like something that might come out of Dubya's EPA?
