I took four minutes to imagine the possibilities if we begin to address climate change now. From RenewUS, a new organization sponsored by Stoneyfield Farm, the Earth Day Network (yep, them again) and Clean Air Cool Planet, comes the short flash movie "Climate: A Crisis Averted" that looks fifty years into the future, and imagines the potential quality of life that could come from addressing global warming now. The movie challenges the myth that addressing global warming means economic sacrifices, and demonstrates the vast economic potential of doing the right thing... you know, "Doing Well by Doing Good..." When you're done watching, take a moment to register with RenewUS and join their grassroots network of climate change activists. If we really want to get politicians on board, we have to show them a constituency already exists that can reward or punish them based on their position.
Thanks to Joel Makower, the movie's producer, for passing this along...
