The green issue of Vanity Fair has been all the talk around the green blogosphere... Alternet refers to it in order to introduce yesterday's piece on "eco-heroes." While VF tended to focus on high-profile activists (RFK, Jr., Al Gore, Julia Roberts), Alternet asked readers to vote on their grassroots heroes -- the people doing the work "in the trenches." The resulting list is an inspirational read on people who work every day to address mounting environmental problems.
