Mr. Luna Meets the Press

In case it's not obvious, I've become a big fan of Kenny Luna's push to give every child in the US a compact fluorescent light bulb. So, I wanted to make sure to get the word out on the press conference he and his students are holding tomorrow. From their media advisory:
Over 200 students will gather in Robert Moses Middle School Auditorium to challenge Oprah to join the fight on Global Warming. The students, under the leadership of their science teacher Mr. Luna, have launched "Mr. Luna's Bright Idea", a campaign to get every North Babylon [NY] student a compact florescent light bulb (CFL) and ultimately every student in America a CFL. Supervisor Bellone, Citizens Campaign for the Environment, and Home Depot will join the students. CFL's on average use 75% less energy than normal light bulbs! Mr. Luna and the students are on their way to accomplishing this innovative and meaningful campaign.
From what I understand, there are quite a few members of the press planning to be there -- it would be great if this could get some national exposure. I'll certainly be on the lookout for published stories and photographs on Thursday.
