So, the new job has kept me hopping, but I finally had a chance to take a look at the press materials from CurrentTV, including a DVD of program excepts. I'm impressed! I expected somewhat uneven quality since much of the programming is "viewer submitted content," but everything I saw was well-produced, informative and entertaining. Among my favorites: Bio-Skate, a profile of sustainable skateboard company Comet Skateboards, and "Life with Cody," a series of interviews with Cody Lundin, founder of Aboriginal Living Skills School and ACES Arizona Center for Environmental Sustainability. Additionally, I'm really impressed that Current is essentially viewer created, both in terms of the actual programming, as well as in choosing programs based on user reviews and votes. Think of it as blogging meets broadcasting. Again, if anyone from Current is reading this, some of us have Dish Network...
