San Francisco, CA: An UPBEAT, INTIMATE, and INTERACTIVE presenation on sustainability and fashion, stuck somewhere between PG-13 and Rated R. "Eco-fashion" is becoming a hot topic on the fashion scene. Model, social entrepreneur and founder of SRO, Summer Rayne Oakes, takes us through "eco's" intimate connection to fashion, its international appeal, what solutions are out there, and what still needs to be done to take sustainable style to new spine-tingling heights. The talk seeks to show possible solutions to global issues through local action by introducing eco-fashion case studies and her company's and partner-client initiatives, including an educational program and an interactive web portal. The 45-minute workshop will be highly interactive, flirtatiously informative, and slightly off the cuff to cater to the energy level and "spontaneous collaboration" with the audience. Available for questions and interviews after.
Giveaways, exclusive eco-brands showcased - available for purchase, and limited "Behind the Label" ( autographed photos (25% of the profits from photos go directly to Mercado Global whose Guatemalan cooperatives were recently hit by Hurricane Stan. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the recent events).
Whoops! Ticket info: Hosted by the San Francisco International Fashion Show (Fort Mason) 12:30PM - 1:15PM. Tickets $40.00. Student rates $25.00.
