From The Telework Coalition via PRWeb, a press release stating that "Permitting employees who can telecommute do so at least two days a week will swiftly reduce workers' fuel consumption and cost by 40%." I wonder -- how many of you have the option to telecommute for your jobs? I'm doing it a bit this semester -- my Friday "meetings" with my one Monday-Wednesday-Friday class are done through the university's course management system. This seems like a win-win situation on a number of fronts -- the reduced costs (both fiscal and environmental) of commuting, and perhaps greater job satisfaction. Who doesn't like to work in their pajamas occasionally?
