Also from Treehugger, news of a new biodiesel plant in Denton, TX that is powered by biogas from a nearby landfill. I find this particularly interesting because it demonstrates a way out of some of the most dire predictions of some peak oil proponents: we can create things in an oil-free manner with a little ingenuity.
