Free Parking Isn't Free

Been meaning to get to this post from Cascadia Scorecard Weblog for a few days:Donald Shoup, professor of urban planning at UCLA, has published his book The High Cost of Free Parking. So, what are the costs? "...[H]igher housing prices, extreme automobile dependence, extravagant energy use, rapid urban sprawl and environmental degradation," according to Shoup.
