From Four Seasons, a link to a New York Times article on how proposed cuts in farm subsidies could change the balance between large factory farms and smaller farms that serve niche markets. Will large farms move into these niche markets without subsidies to mass produce subsidized crops, or do the farming methods themselves limit the amount of shift that could occur? Of course, this is probably all academic, as farm state representatives and Senators in Washington don't look kindly on these cuts in the first place.
