Renewable Energy and the "Ownership Society"

Wow! It's been a hell of a week, and I haven't had nearly as much blogging time as I'd like (damn students actually expect me to read their papers!!), so a few items I've got are several days old. This one, from RenewableEnergyAccess.com, links the renewable energy development to Dubya's "ownership society." Author Bill Roush comes across as a Bush supporter (which, of course, is his right); regardless, his claim that "The proven technologies of renewable energy and distributed generation do exactly what the President is calling for in the Ownership Society" is right on target. Roush writes specifically of distributed power generation, which would seem to fit the model the President and his cronies have presented to a "T." You all know my feelings about our Great Leader, so I'm not hopeful... Still, I'd give credit where credit was due if the Administration saw the wisdom of promoting renewable energy development as a part of their program.
