Is heating up over the politics of climate, as many interested parties weigh in on Dubya's "Clear Skies" initiative. There's been some debate on the Sustainable Blogosphere over this, including some who say that the proposed legislation isn't all bad. On its face, I think there's potential, and I like the "cap and trade" concept. But I place a lot of stock in Sen. Jim Jeffords' characterization of Clear Skies as "...rife with loopholes for polluters and litigation..." From the Christian Science Monitor via Alternet.
