Maybe it's just me, but Thomas Friedman's
idea of a "Geo-Green" approach to the Middle East seems awfully simplistic, as Dave Roberts points out in his response to Geoff Debelko's
post at Gristmill. Ultimately, this kind of argument might appeal (ironically) to Bush's neo-conservative advisors as a possible alternative to outright military invasion, but I'm not sure they're that patient. I also agree with Dave that the Middle Eastern oil barons will likely find other customers...
