Improvements in Organic Photovoltaics

WorldChanging updates a particularly important development: organic solar cells. As I mentioned here some time back, non-silicon photovoltaic cells have been developed, but proven not nearly as efficient as the older silicon models. They've been working on "clos[ing] that performance gap" at Georgia Institute of Technology, and have had some success. Fascinating!
