Kyoto-a-Go-Go

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Kyoto treaty, meaning that it goes into effect for the 126 signing nations ninety days after the Russians submit their UN paperwork. I don't know how much this means without U.S. participation, as we generate the largest amount of greenhouse gases for a single country, but let's hope the implementation of this treaty proves beneficial for those countries that had the foresight to join the fight against global warming.
