The Brits have done it again...

That is, made another small but important advance in clean energy. From the BBC via Eco-Portal comes news that a British research company has managed to convert 8% of sunlight "directly into hydrogen." Still short of the industry-required 10%, but according to researchers with the company, this represents a doubling of the efficiency reached through earlier experiments. Bad, bad news for the greedy folks hoping to do this through drilling for oil...
