Green Mortgages

From Greenbiz, an article on Mortgagegreen, a new California-based mortgage company dedicated to "invest[ing] 10% of its corporate gross profits into a select group of 12 social and environmental reform organizations." CEO Tomek Rondio claims that high profit margines in the mortgage business make "generous contributions" a real possibility, and that "It is high time that the financial sector shows greater responsibility and gives back to our communities and to our planet." Refreshing! Re-fi, anyone?
