As "totalitarian agriculture" (to borrow Daniel Quinn's term) seems to lay at the foundation of our current enviromental messes, this article, first published in World Watch seems particularly important and hopeful. If tobacco farmers can shift to organic vegtables, does anyone have an excuse for maintaining unsustainable ways because of "tradition?"
