California clean cars mandate gets a chance

Encouraging news from California that has nothing to do with recalls or Ahhhnold. According to this
Associated Press report, GM, DaimlerChrysler and Isuzu are dropping their lawsuits against California's "clean car rule." I find this particularly encouraging as it recognizes that hydrogen fuel cell cars are still a ways off. Now, if we could just get Dubya & co. to change their silly policy on only funding fuel cell research while hybrids are now available and could put a real dent in our fuel consumption and Co2 output.
